Basically, Global Connection is a newspaper supplement. It is distributed with some major newspapers around the world at certain periods. The said newspapers are Die Welt in Germany, The Daily Telegraph in UK and with two Russian ones. It aims to deliver innovative products, services and business models for Turkey’s bureaucratic channels, NGOs and strong companies. Design and art direction by Ommedya.

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is Istanbul’s second busiest airport. The new terminal building is the world’s largest earthquake-proof structure and its construction (together with the additional facilities and the necessary roads, viaducts etc. to reach them) had been completed in just 18 months. This book documents the airport’s amazing construction process from start to finish. There are around 300 photographs in it - all of which were carefully selected from the company’s archive containing over 17.500 images. Design by Ulaş Eryavuz @ bravoistanbul.

One day, we were told that there would be a photography production house, which didn’t want to sound like one. The next day, we came up with K.A.M.P - an acronym for Kalite Açısından Mükemmel Prodüksiyonlar (Perfect Quality Productions) - which without the dots was just “camp” (yes, with a K in Turkish). We came up with the name because the co-founders were quite outdoor people.

This book features 500 flower drawings by architect Emir Uras. Using mixed-techniques Emir Uras has created the most amazing flower patterns as a unique expression of his love for wife Zeyneb. STANCOOL is a unique cultural festival bringing together some of the world’s most talented writers, designers, editors, actors, poets, filmmakers and musicians to the city of Istanbul. The festival is committed to creating a dynamic arts diplomacy programme in the world and forging greater cultural relations between Turkey and the international artistic community.

We were asked to produce a modern, bold visual identity for the 2011 edition of the festival, including posters, brochures, invitations, pins and etc.

V2K designers is an Istanbul-based multi-label fashion store, providing designer lines such as Alexander Wang, Rick Owens, Erdem and Hussein Chalayan, alongside seasonal collections from the urban luxury brands including the likes of Acne and Opening Ceremony.

As well as creating the concept for the store’s bi-annual magazine, which showcases the latest fashion collections retailed at the premises, together with Ulaş Eryavuz / bravoistanbul we also edited and designed the first 6 issues.

The new flagship store of V2K designers opened doors on December 16, 2009 with the “Portraits by Karl Lagerfeld for Maison Michel” exhibition and a party that kick-started with Jonny Rock’s adorable music and followed by tunes from DJ Paul Sevigny in the booth. I did put a few words (and touches) here and there within the store.
